This beautiful, much loved holiday home in the quiet, riverside village of Golant has stunning, panoramic views of the River Fowey.

Located on The Saint's Way Trail, and by car just under three miles from the historic coastal town of Fowey, Colbeh is the ideal holiday rental for families, or groups of up to eight, looking for a pet-friendly, relaxed, cosy retreat in South Cornwall.

Colbeh is located at the end of its own private driveway with parking for at least three cars.

The main house offers three bedrooms sleeping six on one level. There is another double room in an annexe which will be made available to groups of seven or eight guests, at an additional charge.

The master bedroom has a large double bed with spacious built-in wardrobes and glorious views of the well-kept garden, Golant village and the river.

The principal level has two bathrooms, both with showers and one with a bath.

The fourth annexed bedroom has an ensuite shower room.

In terms of living space, there is a large living room with an open, working fireplace, BT TV and DVD player, comfy seating for eight and a dining room table with seating for six.

There is also a fully-furnished sunroom with dining table and seating for eight, as well as a large balcony with outdoor furniture and breath-taking river views.

These are all generous spaces ideal for entertaining and enjoying the amazing views of the River Fowey, Golant and surrounding countryside.

The fully-equipped kitchen includes an electric hob, double oven, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer.

There is also a games room with table football table and dartboard.

The property has a well-kept, pretty, terraced garden, perfect for guests with well-behaved pets.

The property is accessible via a steep driveway off the main road and steps to access the front door from the parking area. Please let us know if you are enquiring for guests with limited mobility.

Golant has a very friendly local pub, The Fisherman's Arms, and Paddle Cornwall SUP - a canoe, kayak and paddleboard hire company.

As well as being a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Golant is situated in the heart of du Maurier country, with Castle Dor at the top of the hill, The House on the Strand in nearby Tywardreath and the classic Rebecca and My Cousin Rachel set just a couple of miles away.

The historic local church of St Sampson is well worth a visit – originally built in the 13th century and rebuilt in the early 1500s.

For walkers, there is easy access to some dramatic parts of the South West Coastal Path and the atmospheric Hall walk round the entrance to the River Fowey.

The Eden Project and Tregrehan Gardens are nearby and slightly further afield, The Lost Gardens of Heligan.

The South Cornish Coast is blessed with many beautiful, safe and sandy beaches. Colbeh is spoilt with a number of these lovely beaches on its doorstep including, Readymoney, Polkerris, Par and Crinnis Beach at Carlyon Bay all within a 10 minutes’ drive from the property.

For golfers, there are a number of challenging courses nearby offering breath-taking sea views including, Carlyon Bay, St Austell and Lanhydrock.
